Verse 1 Pray for the children
For they shall inherit the Earth
But what kind of place will they call home?
Nuclear weapons and a planet that's dying for love
Will they be happy or alone

I see a world where everyone one is living free
And everyone is safe from war's insanity
Chorus We don't want no weapons, no wars
We don't want to fight anymore
Is love so very hard to teach?
We don't want no weapons, no wars
We're not not gonna fight anymore
We just want to live in peace
Verse 2 Just watch the children
For they may just show us the way
I see the future in their eyes
As brothers and sisters
There would be nothing to fear
This can all happen if we try

I see a world where everyone is joined in song
And everyone on Earth is free to sing along
Chorus We don't want no weapons, no wars
We don't want to fight anymore
Is love so very hard to teach?
We don't want no weapons, no wars
We're not not gonna fight anymore
We just want to live in peace
Narration Over 50,000 nuclear weapons remain in the world today
despite the fact that the cold war is over and the Soviet Union,
our long time enemy, no longer even exists.
Meanwhile, 30,000 children starve to death in the third world.
Twenty percent of American children live in poverty,
with 5 million of them going hungry everyday.
We must invest our resources in the children,
not in nuclear weapons.
Let us follow our hearts, think as individuals,
and choose peace over war and violence.
Chorus I see a world where everyone one is living free
And everyone is safe from war's insanity

We don't want no weapons, no wars
We don't want to fight anymore
Is love so very hard to teach?
We don't want no weapons, no wars
We're not not gonna fight anymore
We just want to live in peace

We don't want no weapons, no wars
We don't want to fight anymore
Is love so very hard to teach?
We don't want no weapons, no wars
We're not not gonna fight anymore
We just want to live in peace
